GMail Trick

Quick Note.  I just had to share.

If you are one of the over 37 million users of Google’s GMail I have a pretty cool feature for ya:

Because of the way Gmail’s email servers work, your email address bobby@gmail.com is the same as bo.bby@gmail and bobby+isthecoolestguyever@gmail.com!

This has many applications… Probably the best is being able to find out who sold your email address off to the big spam companies.  For example, when signing up for a new account at example.org, give them the email address bobby+example.org@gmail.com.  This will still arrive in your inbox and when you click “Show Details” you will be able to see example.org is the one that turned on you.
